About
My name is Kate Murphy. I suffer from an array of ailments that have led me to appreciate the little moments and the little things in life. This blog is simply documentation of that in the hopes that it will inspire you to take an extra minute to "smell the roses" as well.
I was diagnosed with general anxiety disorder, severe depressive disorder, a panic disorder, fibromyalgia, and poly-cystic ovarian syndrome in the span of a few months. Life became a lot harder, things were changing too fast, you see. It's the little moments and the little things in life that keep me going, that enable me to see the good in the world around me.
To give you an idea of who I am...I am a writer, a mama to two pups, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a former student, and a full-time RVer. I am a survivor and someone who perseveres, even when I don't want to. I am not someone who gives up, even when all I can see is the dark cloud above me. I am someone suffering from diseases that many people claim don't exist, I feel the tight grip of the stigma of mental illness around my neck daily. I still keep going, and I advocate for getting rid of the stigma that is associated with anxiety and depression and all other diseases of the mind. Above all, I am human, just like you.
